You’re about to learn 5 ways to get started with affiliate marketing.  This will help save you time and frustration as a lot of the resources are laid out right before you, you just need to take action on them.

Years ago, when I got started online within the digital marketing media of advertising and discovering different tactics to use to generate income, I used affiliate marketing.  Now, there are a couple different types of affiliate marketing that you can use however the one I’ll discuss is called “cpa affiliate marketing”.

Why?  It’s one of the easiest, if not the easiest, ways to make money online.  Simply because you can get started with literally zero cost out of pocket.  Now, don’t get me wrong…if you invest less than the price of dinner for two at your favorite restaurant, you could see even better results.

So, lets’ jump into a couple of Q&A that’s been asked here recently.

Questions & Answers (Q&A)

Question 1:  How do I get started in affiliate marketing?

The best way to get started in affiliate marketing is to just “get started!”  First step is to decide what market that you want to enter into.

  • Finance
  • Credit Repair
  • Dating
  • Personal Development
  • Weight Loss
  • Gaming

You name it and there’s probably a 99% chance that there is an offer for it.  Once you’ve decided what market you want to enter, you then need to join an affiliate network that will allow you to promote those types of offers to make money.

Affiliate Portal – This is a great way to get started with an all-in-one tool kit for all your marketing needs.  Its a site called Affportal which has simply powerful internet marketing tools at your finger tips.

Awesome tools such as:

  • PPV tools
  • Alexa Scraper
  • Competition Scraper
  • Index Scraper
  • Keyword Modifier
  • Landing Page Preview
  • Search Scraper
  • URL Modifier
  • Banner Ad Builder
  • Bing Suggest
  • and much more

If I had all these tools years ago when I got stated, I’d be SO MUCH further ahead today.

Question 2: How much is it going to cost me?

Getting started shouldn’t cost you a lot however understand that what you put in is what you’ll get out.  I’m not saying to go out and spend $100 just to get started, you know your situation better than I do.

There will be an investment needed if you decide that you want to start paying for traffic.  You can spend anywhere from $5+ per day if you are using PPC on networks such as Google Adwords, Bing and other tier 1  networks.

Again, there are paid ways to enter into a market and there are free ways that it can be done as well. Just keep in mind, free will cost you more of your time than financial resources.

Question 3:  Do I need any prior knowledge or skills?

You do not need any prior skills or knowledge (as long as you can follow guidance and direction).  I thought I did when I got started over 5 years ago. Boy, was I wrong.  The biggest problem that I’ve seen occur over and over with people is that they must analyze everything and then they don’t take action.

If you know how to code Php, mess with HTML and CSS then that will help you but it’s not needed.  You will be able to create more advanced landing/capture pages, redirection scripts and some other naughty things we won’t discuss.

Here’s a great resource to learn PHP, HTML, CSS and more if you want to, it’s called w3schools.  This is where I began to learn how to create, manipulate and use different types of scripts. Check them out.

Question 4:  What tools do I need to learn how to make money as an affiliate?

Website – Having a website is a great way to brand yourself or your product.  If you are using a website for one of the major markets you will be able to state your claim with your online resource.   (there are free websites out there that you can use but they don’t look as professional as having your own domain).

    • WordPress is a great tool to use when creating a website.  You are able to upload content directly to your website, make changes to the theme and have tracking in place so you can monitor your hard work.

Hosting -Having a place to put your website on the internet is essential and should be kept in your tool box.  Once you find a great hosting company to host with, stick with them.  Below is a recommendation of one of the best hosting companies out.

  •  Hostgator hosting is a great resource that you can use to find an very inexpensive hosting account.  They have specials where you can get a shared hosting account for $5.99/mth  (at the time of this post).  You will need hosting if you decided that you want to host your website on the internet.

Autoresponder – A great autoresponder service providers will offer great products, pricing and service.  It will also be newbie or user friendly to use.  At GetResponse they offer a great product, at a great starting price of for a small dinner of two (a lot less than Aweber) and phenomenal service.  Using a autoresponder isn’t hard to do once you learn the basic.

    •  GetResponse Auto-responder Service is a great way to follow-up with your clients that you are marketing to. GetResponse hasn’t been known to have problems like Aweber where they shut down for a little bit, and they have been known to be up and running 99.9% of the time (GetResponse). A lot of BIG name GURU’s use GetResponse (beginning to see the BIG picture?) What more can you ask for!

Question 5:  What are some of the top Affiliate Networks to join?

First, what makes a great Affiliate Network?

  1. Converting offers in the multitude of various markets
  2. World-class support
  3. Affiliate Managers who are willing to show you how to get started
  4. Training to help you perfect your craft

By joining some of the top tier affiliate networks out there, and there are quite a few, I’m going to have to say that NamOffers is one of the top. NamOffers has put together a program which takes the new, wet behind the ears affiliate marketer (no matter the age) and shows them how to get started making money online by promoting their offers.

9 times out of 10, no affiliate network is going to show you how to get started. They want you to already be a seasoned pro before you even submit your application to join their network.  Real talk!

If you’re new to cpa affiliate marketing they offer top notch world-class support, they even have a course on how to get started in the cpa affiliate marketing arena where they can show you step-by-step what to do and how to promote the offers.

They also have great affiliate managers who are willing to go above and beyond to help you make money and optimize your offers, with years of experience backing them.

So, that concludes this part of the 5 easiest ways to get started with affiliate marketing.  If you happen to have any further questions, comments or concerns I’d love to hear them so post them below.
